Celebrating 50 in Style

Celebrating 50 in Style

Turning 50 was a milestone for me. I did a lot of internal work and preparation the year leading up to my actual birthday in January. I focused on meditating regularly, creating vision boards of my goals, and how I want to feel in the year ahead. I spent time journaling, daydreaming, and reflecting on how grateful I am for my life and the love I feel on a daily basis. I also focused on my internal and external health–paying close attention to nutrition and exercise.

When the day actually came, I felt so happy and excited about it. I planned a trip with my immediate family to a warm destination over my birthday, and it was FAB!

Off to Punta Mita, Mexico we went! I’d heard so many wonderful things about this small town in Mexico and have wanted to visit for a long time. I researched rental properties and hotels in the area and ultimately chose to stay at a hotel, The Four Seasons Punta Mita.  It was fabulous.

The resort sent a car to pick us up at the airport, then greeted us upon arrival to the resort with a cold hand towel and fresh drinks filled with local fruit. They knew our name and where we live. I appreciate excellent service and attention to detail . . . I strive to offer a similar level of service to all of my Beauties at BNK as well.

Our days were filled with relaxation by the pool. Of course, I made good use of my SkinBetter Science SPF 68 & SPF 75 compacts to protect me from the sun’s harmful rays. The resort had a bar that actually swam up to us when we were in the pool . . . a fun, new experience for us!

We ventured into Punta Mita for several dinners, dined next door St Regis hotel, walked the beaches, and appreciated our resort’s amenities. The kids took full advantage of the lazy river, teen activity center, and gaming areas. We also biked on trails to different beach clubs and took a snorkeling class at the hotel.

Before we left, I treated myself to a hydra facial at the Four Seasons spa. It was amazing and worth every penny! As I write this, I realize you might be wondering what the difference is between a regular facial and a hydra facial. With hydra facials, a lack of manual extraction makes this process gentler on the skin than most regular facials and produces instant and long-lasting results that you can see and feel. You’ll notice improved hydration, minimized dark spots, and even a decrease in fine lines. If you have the chance to try one, I highly recommend it!

All in all, turning 50 felt great. Taking a break from the frigid Minnesota winter and enjoying time with my family in a warm place was exactly what I’d envisioned for my birthday weekend.

Kisses,

Krissy
